We met surrounded by sweets.

8 years later, in 2018 we created beeswax and butter to allow us to continue to express our love for each other and the pastries we knew could represent the best of our craft. We strove to start something of our own, and are privileged to follow our passion to a place where we can share it with you, our neighbors.

We are rooted in Asheville, NC and regularly renew our commitment to communities, bodies, and planet by supporting local producers wherever possible. We grow our own herbs. All of our fruits, dairy, eggs, and flour come from regional farmers, most of whom share time with us at tailgate markets. When we are unable to know the producer directly, we depend on certified organic ingredients, sourced from as close to here as possible.

Macarons became our unexpected first obsession, but one perhaps stronger for just that. We discovered they can be whole, flavorful, creative... they can be delicate and substantive. They are still the mainstay of our business. Soon came other pastries: stroopwafel, canelé de Bordeaux, black cocoa cookie, and a variety of profiteroles - each made with traditional methods. The best tasting desserts need simply be made with the best ingredients and an attention to detail.
